Abstract Submission

PGES 2025 – Best Paper and Best Poster Awards

Organized by: Department of Endocrine Surgery, SGPGIMS, Lucknow
Event Dates: September 5–7, 2025

1. Objective

To outline the process and guidelines for submission, evaluation, and presentation of abstracts for the Best Paper and Best Poster categories during PGES 2025.

2. Eligibility Criteria

• The presenting author must be a registered delegate of PGES 2025.

• Abstracts must be based on original clinical or research work related to Endocrine Surgery or Breast Surgery.

• Multiple abstracts may be submitted, but only one will be eligible for award consideration per presenting author.

3. Categories

• Best Paper Award – Oral Presentation

• Best Poster Award – E-Poster Display & Discussion

4. Abstract Format Guidelines

• Title: Clear, concise, and relevant (in Title Case)

• Authors: Full names with affiliations; presenter name underlined

• Text Structure:

  • Background / Introduction

  • Methods

  • Results

  • Conclusion

• Word Limit: Maximum 300 words (excluding title and affiliations)

• Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, single spacing

• File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)

5. Submission Process

• Deadline for Abstract Submission: August 10, 2025

• Email to: pges2025@gmail.com

• Subject line: “Abstract Submission – [Paper/Poster] – [Presenter Name]”

• Acknowledgement of receipt will be sent within 48 hours.

6. Review Process

• All abstracts will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee comprising senior faculty.

• Evaluation will be based on:

  • Originality and relevance

  • Scientific merit and methodology

  • Clarity of presentation

  • Clinical impact

Shortlisted abstracts will be notified by August 20, 2025, with presentation details.

7. Presentation Guidelines

Best Paper (Oral Presentation):

• Time Limit: 7 minutes presentation + 3 minutes Q&A

• Format: PowerPoint (.pptx); AV support provided

• Venue & Time: Details will be shared with shortlisted candidates

Best Poster (E-Poster Presentation):

• Format: Single slide (16:9 ratio), landscape orientation (PDF or PPT)

• Display: Uploaded and displayed digitally during the conference

• Discussion Time: Authors must be available for judges during assigned slots

8. Awards

• Certificates and mementos will be awarded to:

  • Best Paper – Winner & Runner-Up

  • Best Poster – Winner & Runner-Up

• Awards will be announced during the Valedictory Ceremony on September 7, 2025
